Terms and Conditions for Services at Cornwall Wheel Repairs.

Pricing

  1. All quotes are correct at the time provided, we reserve the right to change prices without prior notice, if a quote is provided by email the price will be held for 30 days.

  2. Prices quoted are provided on the information given, if the wheels require extra services these will be chargeable in addition to the quoted price. We will contact you on discovery of any defects to discuss before proceeding with any additional work.

  3. If your car requires new TPMS valve stems on tyre refitting these will be provided and charged without previous notice.

Service

  1. We offer a complete wheel refurbishment service, we endeavour to offer the best quality finishes available, however, this is a refurbishment service, we are not providing brand new wheels. Dependant on the age and condition of the wheels when they are provided to us, the finish can vary. We inspect all wheels carefully both before and during the process, if at any point the condition of the wheels is found to be excessively poor we will contact you, and discuss whether you would like to proceed. If you agree to proceed at this point Cornwall Wheel Repairs will take no responsibility for the finish of the wheels, this will be at your own risk.

  2. All wheels will be inspected for cracks and continuity, if wheels are found to need additional repairs, you will be consulted before work continues

  3. If Wheel bolts are over torqued on receiving the vehicle, Cornwall Wheel Repairs will not continue, the customer will be notified, the vehicle will need to be taken elsewhere for these to be removed and the refurbishment rebooked.

  4. All Tyres will be refitted with new tyre stems, unless they had TPMS stems previously removed.

  5. Cornwall Wheel Repairs takes no responsibility for the removal of locking wheel nuts if the key does not undo the nut.

  6. Alloy Wheel Repairs - All straightening and welding is completed at the owners risk. Customers should be aware that wheel repairs may take longer than the standard turn around time. Once work is started on the wheel, repairs are chargeable. Cornwall Wheel Repairs will take every precaution when straightening wheels, if the wheel cracks during this process, the weld will also be chargeable. If the wheel becomes unviable to repair due to the consistency of the material, the work completed will remain chargeable.

  7. Split Rims - When breaking down split rim wheels, Cornwall Wheel Repairs are not responsible for bolts breaking during this process, if replacement bolts are needed, they can be supplied at cost to the customer.

  8. Cornwall Wheel Repairs will not re-fit a tyre that is not safe for use. Replacement tyres can be provided at cost to the customer.

  9. The diamond cutting process has a limited number of cuts that can be completed on each wheel due to the material available.

  10. Late Collection - Vehicles must be collected within 3 working days of completion of works, unless previously arranged, after 3 working days we reserve the right to charge a fee of £10.00 per night. Loose wheels must be collected within 14 days of completion of works, unless previously arranged, after this period we reserve the right to charge £10.00 per week. Any wheels not collected within 2 month of notification of completed works will become property of Cornwall Wheel Repairs and sold to recuperate costs.

Your Responsibilities

  1. Customers must be dropped off to us by 11am on the day of the booking. We reserve the right to cancel the booking if previous arrangements are not made.

  2. Locking wheel nut keys must be made available on drop off.

  3. Customers colour choice is their responsibility, unless there are any defects, Cornwall Wheel Repairs takes no responsibility for rectifying for the customer or reimbursing the service.

  4. Customers are reminded to check the torque of thier wheel nuts 50 miles after collection.

  5. It is the customers responsibility to check the refurbishment completely on collection. Any issues are to be brought to our attention via email, within 72 hours of collection. (photos will be required, and we may request that you return to us within 24 hours for one of our team to inspect.)

  6. Payments are due upon completion or ceasing of works. Cars and wheels will not be released to the customer until full payment is made.

  7. Trade Customers - Accounts are payable on 20th of the month following completion of works, unless agreed otherwise.

  8. Any paint provided by the customer will be subject to the standard charge for the wheel refurbishment, but will be excluded from all warranty, as Cornwall Wheel Repairs cannot verify the quality and consistency of externally supplied paint.
